Making a name for himself since 1997, Doug Ross (AKA Kubiks) has continued to make his mark on the dance music scene with his worldwide DJ sets, releases on EMI, 31 Records, Industry, Tangent, Renegade Rec., Defunked, and his defining musical productions.

Influenced by the seminal movement that was 70's soul, jazz and funk, his productions have exuded the musical feel of the genre he was inspired by. Silky rhodes keys, lush pads, tough rolling Bass lines and dreamy soundscapes define his style. With his recent teaming with Lomax (Part of Holdtight), it seems that this pairing is unstopable with huge interest from everyone in the scene.

Kubiks is some what of an entrapeneur, not only does he produce, DJ run his own club nights (Rubiks Cube & Liquidiser) but he is also half of Rubik Records. With now over 13 releases under their belts, working with established artists like Suv, Danny C, Blame, CLS & WAX, Blue Sonix but to name a few, this label’s reputation has sky rocketed and is now taking its place as one os the uks forerunners in drum and bass.

With forthcoming releases on several established labels including 31 Records, V recordings & Horizons, alongside his busy DJ schedule, record label and club night duties, Doug is set to establish himself as a major player of 2006 and beyond.
